Snow was composed in the fall of 2005 and premiered by the University of Colorado Women's Chorus, conducted by Alexa Doebele. The text of piece was also written by the composer, and is listed below. Intentionally, it is a piece describing the stunning beauty of God's creation. Unintentionally, it became a meditation on the Immaculate Conception...

In the night, I still my breathing
In the night and stillness
I hear the snow falling
gently coming to rest on virgin fields of white
it is the whisper of God
as he stoops to kiss the earth
lovingly, and for a moment
making it pure and whole
